Usage

{{duplicate}} creates an information box telling the user that a page or a section of it, to some extent or in its entirety, duplicates information on other pages in MozillaWiki. The box will show at the position on the page where you put the template and stretch horizontally to fill the width of the available space.

To flag a page as being a duplicate, add the template to the top of the page. The page will automatically be added to the category Category:Duplicates.

Parameter

There are 2 parameters, both named and optional.

Syntax

date

Date of reporting

You can add the date of your report by using this parameter.

Note

• Use a date format that can be understood across cultures, languages and borders, i.e. either by using the ISO standard (YYYY-MM-DD), or by giving the name of the month in full or as an abbreviation (e.g. 24 Aug, 2014).

Usage

• {{duplicate|date=date value}}

section

Changes the words "page" and "article" to "section"

If you want to flag only a section of the page, use this parameter.

Any value you specify will be interpreted as "true", and invoke the parameter; i.e. |section=yes will yield the same result as |section=haggis.
