Theme Work

This page represents the efforts of improving the various supported themes for the Thunderbird 3 release.

Strategy

Our strategy is to focus on the intersection of the following properties of the Thunderbird interface.

1. Easiest to Change (simple)
2. Seen the most (impact)
3. Ugliest to Look at (worst)

For example preferences are fairly easy to change because the coding is somewhat simple and the scope is limited.

The message reader is an element that people interact with every day, making it one of greatest areas for impact. However the message reader is also somewhat difficult to change because of all the complex code and interactions involved.
