Hi.

My name is Jan Meijer. I live in The Netherlands and have worked quite a long time (over 40 years) in IT, so you may call me an old vet.

Still very active in this area I have my interest in all good Open Source projects, the Mozilla Project being one of them. As a frequent user of FireFox (of course) and Thunderbird and an effortless escape to Nvu, I like to contribute to the MozProj in the way I am best. Being a kind of Grumpy ol' man One thing I am good at is showing criticism. Not that that is a good contribution, but with that character I can have a good look at documentation, interpret it and tell what should be done to improve it.

That is why I joined the wiki of the MozProj. I will browse through the changes, look at them and optimize them when necessary. For sure: I am not going to alter the actual content in the pages so nicely set up by others that know the subject better than I do. No just improve the writing, since I am convinced that the better the writing the higher the acceptance of an article.

Are you interested in communicating with me: first try the discussion page of this entry, when we really get on to a subject, You may always e-mail me through the Toolbox --> E-mail this user button.
