This is the project-at-a-glance page for SUMO (https://support.mozilla.com), and is meant to be a high-level entry point for testing SUMO (*not a full test plan*)

Current milestone: 2.0

Things to test:

  • Accept-language (through headers) auto-detection
  • Double-byte characters (Kanji)
  • RTL languages (Hebrew, Farsi)
  • Browser-compatibility (functionality, layout, in that order)

Key features:

  • Search
    • When on the homepage, results should fill in KB article first, then back-fill _solved_ forum posts
    • When on the forum-index page, results should be forum posts (both solved and unsolved, with title/content relevance taking precedence)
    • Litmus Search test run
  • Forums
  • Knowledge Base
    • If you create a new article it will first reside in 'Staging Area'.
    • New articles residing in staging area will not have an '*' prefixed to the article name
    • An Approver approves an article in 'Staging Area' and moves it to 'KB'
    • If you edit an article that is already in KB then a copy of that article is created in 'Staging Area' prefixed with *
    • Once this article is approved then the approved article is moved to 'KB' and the article in staging exists with the new changes
    • Litmus KB test run
