Summary

Belts in Karate, achievements in World of Warcraft , merit badges in the Scouts, or medals in the military are all examples of different types of "badges". In this workshop style event participants brainstorm and share various perspectives on badge systems.

• Get more participants acclimated to the idea of badges.
• Gather a range of perspectives on badges.

Who should come? How many? For how long? (audience)

Anybody interested in badges, assessment, accreditation, digital learning platforms. This will be a workshop-style session, so, you should come for the whole thing.

What will they do when they get there? (activities)

We will briefly discuss some badge systems and then participants will work together to come-up with and share various perspectives on existing or possible badge systems.
