Global Events List
Mozilla's global events list is a place where all speaking engagements, conferences, meet ups and internal work weeks are all posted. It's a place to share information and encourage community participation and involvement. All engagement teams will be able to post their events in one centralized place, which will eliminate the need for multiple locations to host event lists and eliminate redundancies.
- Purpose
- To have a centralized location for all global events across all engagement teams to be listed
- To provide a better overall picture of where Mozilla is represented.
- Ensure we are leveraging events in the best way possible and getting the maximum benefits possible.
- Provide transparency to the organization and community about internal and external events (including work weeks, all-hands etc).
- Effective (and less confusing) interface to communicate with our target audiences and encourage involvement.
- Track global events over time
- Increase ease at which individuals can locate and search for events.
All the engagement teams and the people team have agreed to use this centralized global events list to post relavant events.
Phase 1 Process
- Enter all events on the Where is Mozilla page https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/events.
- Enter all potential events on the global events list Google Document.
- No web development required.
Phase II Process
- Create an events requests form, that once event is approved, will automatically populate an events list.
- Hosted at www.mozilla.org/events
