Problems with Firefox 2 on Intel Macs

There have been a few reports [1][2][3] of problems with Firefox 2 on Intel Macs.

Firefox 2 on Intel Mac, there is no Talkback because...xxx

If you get a crash, please send us the report by doing...xxx

If you get a freeze, please use "Activity Monitor" to sample the process and send us the sample. (More info...xxx)

Please also let us know:

• os version (ex: 10.4.8)
• system details (ex: cpu, memory, xxx)
• what extensions you are running (ex: xxx)
• the versions of your plugins from about:plugins (ex: xxx)

Confirmed issues:

• crash [@ nsCertVerificationThread::Run] nsCertVerificationThread.cpp:101, see bug 362564

Fixed issues (for Fx 2.0.0.1)

• Firefox 2.0 often hangs in Intel Mac OS X 10.4.7, js_GC deadlock, (fixed by brendan for Fx 2.0.0.1), see bug 353962
• Flash doesn't work on Intel Mac due to stale pluginreg.dat from migration from PPC (fixed by josh for Fx 2.0.0.1), see bug 356694
• crash when clicking on menubar while popup displayed (*Mac OS X 10.3 only*) [@ FadeMenuWindows], see bug 351230, fixed for Fx 2.0.0.1

Unconfirmed issues:

• large .sqlite problems with certain extensions (see this bug xxx)
