[Add your query idea directly by editing the appropriate subsection of the wiki page. If the query/class of bugs is a documented priority for Thunderbird 3, please indicate by prefixing with "!".]

The following bugzilla queries may be used to find Thunderbird related bugs for the purposes of doing bug triage, finding duplicates, as a model for a more refined query, as a template to create your own query, or for general research. These queries primarily focus on problem bugs, and so do not include bugs which are enhancement request. In general, trivial queries will not be listed here. See Thunderbird bug triage for information about the triage process.

  • note components and products, complications of multiple products+comp.
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=Core
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=Thunderbird
  • rate queries:
    • indicate those we care most about, for traigers who don't care what bugs to work
    • color code
  • Blue sky - provide screen shots of Thunderbird UI and identify parts of those screens so that people use better|correct terminology for functions and referencing screen positions

General queries

Thunderbird: All components of Product="Thunderbird". Searches not necessarily mutually exclusive.

The date defined for old bugs is 2007-04-07, the day after the release of Thunderbird 2.0 RC 1, which became the final Thunderbird 2 - the only supported version at the time of writing. Thus, the date is used when triaging old bugs created before that date.

A chart of the searches in bold can be found here. Do note that the start of data collection for the chart is approximately 2008-03-20 and no data is available for dates before that.

Core: Searches include all Core -> MailNews, and Core: -> POP, IMAP, News and SMTP protocol categories. Searches not necessarily mutually exclusive.

Lag time for old bugs increased to 180 days due to longer history. Bugs found during the search may affect SeaMonkey or both SeaMonkey and Thunderbird.

Function-based Queries

Those whose queries are not trivial, i.e. not just one component or one keyword

Special Queries
