Gecko 1.9 Roundtable

  • Gecko Alpha Status
  • Individual People Status:
    • vlad
      • drawWindow/tiled background patches checked in
      • win32 issues fixed; need to check in to both moz and cairo
      • no progress on cairo upscaling
      • working on Cairo Quartz issues that are blocking printing; will be fixed today.
    • dbaron
      • reflow branch
        • spent more time than I expected fighting with special height reflows
          • gmail compose now lays out correctly on reflow branch
        • merged branch to a new branch off of the trunk
      • also spent some time polishing off a few bugs in the visibility stuff bryner did so that it's actually usable and fully working on FC6 (and I can build and run on FC6 without tweaking strange build flags)
    • sayrer
      • JS/DOM harness landed
      • regression tests running on windows tinderbox, thanks to davel
      • have thttpd proof of concept working on windows (replace python script)
      • added ~20 old DOM bugs to the harness. turned up 3 or 4 issues, 2 definite bugs
      • working out issues with the harness as new types of bugs are added
      • no progress on getElementsByClassName

    • New Tp test (annie sullivan's test)
    • Cleaned up pages (100 or so pages)
    • Reporting to graph server
    • Windows-only performance test, uses Python
    • Runs outside of the browser, auto-starts up browser, etc.
    • Graph server extension
      • Per-user data submission, ability to hide other people's data set
    • Page cleaner and grabber need to be checked in
      • Put page set somewhere
    • Future plan
      • Extension to build graph server to handle discrete graphs
      • (local graphing thing, instead of submitting?)
      • Long-term to run this as the main testing suite
    • Minimal work to get this page set for Tp and baseline

  • Working on final revisions of an initial Firefox 3 Vision document. Will push that to dev.planning for feedback ASAP.
