Campus Team Co-Leads

Campus Team Co-Leads in the Take Back the Web Campaign will:

  • design a specific plan for their university
  • decide on a timeline
  • implement their plan together over the next three months (April-June 2016)
  • report back weekly on success

The Take Back the Web Campaign leadership team (comprised of Mozilla staff) will provide qualifying Campus Teams with online resources (teaching kits, presentations etc.) to be successful.

Campus Teams will be partnered with a Local Coach, who will provide the team with ongoing training and mentorship. Campus co-leads will share lessons and success stories, and troubleshoot common problems with other campus teams in their region.

Campus Teams should have diverse skills and be team-oriented. Campus Team Co-Leads should expect to spend 5 hours a week, on average, planning and executing the Take Back the Web Campaign on their campus.

In the event that there are multiple teams on one campus, we will support collaboration and connection between the teams so that each campus is aligned and ready to have the greatest impact possible.

Local Coaches

Local Coaches in the Take Back the Web Campaign will:

  • provide mentorship and support to Campus Team Co-Leads
  • train Co-Leads in leadership and effective project management
  • communicate between Mozilla staff and Campus Teams

Coaches will receive training and resources from the Take Back the Web Campaign leadership team (comprised of Mozilla staff) and will report back on what’s working well and what their teams need to succeed.

A successful Coach will an be excellent motivator, an organized worker, and be comfortable working with students.

Coaches should expect to spend about 5 hours a week mentoring their teams and communicating with Campaign leadership.
