Project Updates

  • Metrics / Dashboards (KaiRo)
  • Stability (KaiRo)
    • Seeing e10s crashes with the experiment on 45 beta, including startup crash bug 1210099 with Skype Click-to-Play. We'll not run e10s for now when this add-on is loaded and are also contacting Skype.
    • Flash crashes spiked with 45.0b1, see bug 1245200, Adobe is aware and investigating.


  • Desktop Automation (whimboo)
    • mozmill-ci production is now running firefox-ui-tests via test packages (en-US only for now)
    • Various patches for mozharness, eg. to add mozcrash support for localized builds, and test package download
    • About to release a new version of mozdownload which will let you grab a build via a revision (needed for mozmill-ci to get test packages for release builds)
    • Work for TaskCluster jobs will start soon, to allow our tests to run on a check-in basis + try
  • EME automation + YouTube MSE automation (sydpolk)
    • [read-only] getting ready to hand media tests over to media team - "The media team was very excited that it is possible to run media tests out of mozilla-central now, and will be even happier when there is a mach command. They assigned a couple of people to work with it"
    • [read-only] we have failures in e10s media-tests on pf-jenkins because of unsafe CPOW usage. There is a fix in the latest marionette packages, so once we upgrade the jenkins jobs to use them the tests will turn green again
  • Mobile
  • Firefox Engineering QA (RyanVM/Rares)
    • [read-only] Mostly focusing on e10s/APZ bug triage
