Agenda & Notes

  • Standard8 proposes adding jhopkins to tb-drivers email list.
    • Standard8
  • Account Provisioning
    • bwinton & clarkbw to move forward until blocking points hit
  • 3.1.x & 3.2
    • Not branching just yet, until we know the status of account provisioning.
      • This may save us set up & dev work, if account provisioning doesn't happen until such a time as it would be better to release from trunk.
    • Flags will still be set up for 3.2 branch + trunk
    • Propose that we bump trunk version to 3.3a1pre anyway:
      • This will make trunk match with what's in bugzilla, and we're unlikely to do a 3.2 from trunk.
  • Standard8 to bump trunk to 3.3a1 to match Bugzilla versioning
  • 3.1.3 & 3.0.7
    • Remaining blocker bugs
    • Pushing the go button today.
    • 3.1.3 could be respun if we get a fix for bug 564737 before the end of the week. dmose to try and get review or find alternate reviewer.
  • Advertised major updates
    • 3.0 -> 3.1.2: Released on 11th Aug at 10% throttle, 13th Aug increase to 25% throttle.
    • 2.0 -> 3.1.2: Released on 18th Aug at 10% throttle.
    • Definitely at least 300k uptake on 3.0 -> 3.1.2, 2.0 looks like zero uptake (from today's stats) but there's also a 300k increase in total amount of ADUs from last week - probably people returning from holidays. Therefore suspect real numbers are around 400k / 200k for the releases (3.0/2.0).
    • rebron to make change to Thunderbird 2 start page to say that it's unsupported
  • Trunk maintenance
    • Libxul is the way to resolve most of this.
    • Tracemonkey builder
  • Feature work
    • contacts
    • mailing list manager
  • Conversion funnel
    • rebron to look into GetThunderbird push a few weeks after major update is unthrottled
    • funnelcake
      • Bug 582240, 589927, 589945, 589930, 589937, 589941, 589943
      • Wednesday midnight launch
