Community Marketing

The Community Marketing team has the job (not sure you can even call it that!) of creating meaningful ways for the community to participate in marketing and evangelizing Mozilla. We oversee our Social Media efforts, Campus Reps, Events, and Affiliates/Spread Firefox.

We can found lingering in #spreadfirefox or #marketing on irc.mozilla.org and in the Community Marketing Forum on SFx. if you have any questions or want to join in on marketing efforts. We also host a bi-weekly marketing call:

  • Dial-in Info: +1.650.903.0800, followed by 92# and then 7391#
  • Or you can use our toll-free number: +1.800.707.2533, followed by 369# and then 7391#. If you're outside the US, use Skype to call in with our toll-free number.
  • You can also watch the meeting live in Open Video at air mozilla
  • For those that can't make the call or want to participate online, join us in #marketing on IRC (irc.mozilla.org).

Mary Colvig I bleed Mozilla red. I have the awesome job of heading up community marketing and have been involved with the Mozilla project since March 2005. I joined the marketing team as a full-time employee in June 2006 after a several years in PR/communications field. My main focus here is fostering global participation in marketing Mozilla and Firefox. Here are all the ways you can reach me at mary @ mozilla dot com, on Twitter and via my blog

Sarah Doherty, Marketing Manager. I work as a Marketing Manager driving the events program, our social media landscape and contributing to the development of new programs in community marketing. Although I am fairly new to Mozilla (joined June 2009), I have been a long time advocate of community and user group development, and spent many years working at Apple with the User Group and Campus Rep Programs.  You can e-mail me at sarah at mozilla dot com, keep up with my Twitter or read my blog, www.sarahdoherty.net/blog.

William Quiviger, European Marketing Manager I work directly with Mozilla communities throughout Europe, helping them grow and recruit more volunteers, whilst enabling and assisting communities to promote and spread Mozilla products and vision. email: william@mozilla.com twitter: wquiviger blog: http://somethin-else.org/
