Sites to test

  • http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/index.jsp (chofmann reports that someone emailed webmaster about not being able to watch streaming live broadcasts of Major League Baseball games in Wyoming).
    • http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mediacenter/index.jsp#20060728 then click the 350K link under Top Plays.
      • Media Player loads but the video never runs. That's the same as 1.5.0.4. 1.5.0.5 never even loads up the media player. 1.5.0.6 behaves the same as 1.5.0.4.(tracy 07-28)
      • Works for me with WMP 10 on WinXP and 1.5.0.4/1.5.0.6 but not in 1.5.0.5 (bc 07/29).
      • I tested the archived videos and free stuff they had available on Windows yesterday while testing 1.5.0.5 and everything seemed to work OK for me. In order to test the live games streaming, we need to pay for an account. [marcia]
  • In light of this report, we might want to test a lot of sites that stream live video: http://www.mid-wales.net/live%20streaming%20video.htm
    • I tested several random sites here with 1.5.0.5 and they worked. We'll need specific ones that are broken in 1.5.0.5. Unless we're using these to make sure nothing is regressed further in 1.5.0.6 (tracy 07-28)
    • I used this list as a starting point - if there are specific failures that you see in 1.5.0.6 we should go back to 1.5.0.4 to see if they worked. [marcia 7-28]
