When does it run? What's the calendar of events?
Key dates and milestones:
- Global Weekend of Code: June 23 & 24.
- Our goal is to host 1000 events and teach-ins around the world.
- Participants will be able to see what others are making in real time, with a gallery of share-outs and updates on progress.
- It's all about sharing and fun. Celebrating the global potential of learning and the web.
- All summer long: Keep the momentum going from your kickoff events with followup learning & making sessions, building out what you started more and more.
- End-of-summer show-and-tells: At the end of August or early-September, we'll provide spaces for people to gather around the world and show off what you/they made, to see what others did and learn from their progress.
The Mozilla Summer Code Party: rolling all summer long
Weekend of Code: June 23-24
The Summer Code Party kicks off with 2 days of events around the world with people learning to code together.
- MEET with friends or go to an event.
- MAKE something cool on the web. (We'll have lots of content from Mozilla and partners to help you)
- LEARN new skills in the process.
Want to host an event? Want to learn yourself?
Continued Summer Events and Learning
Keep learning all summer by hosting and attending more events - maybe with the same set of folks, or maybe new groups! Or just continue to make stuff yourself. We will provide lots of content for you to use to 'level up' or hone multiple skills. Plus, there will be lots of content and options from partners as well. Plenty to keep you and other learners busy all summer long!
End of Summer Show-N-Tells
Every good party has a grand finale. We want to showcase all of the learning and making that occurred over the summer so we'll help drive a bunch of show-n-tells - local and virtual - for you to share your work, meet other webmakers, earn badges and celebrate an awesome summer together.
