Gaming on Mobile
Games can be written as mobile web apps!
List of things we need in Fennec to enable that:
- Touch events (FF7)
- Fast WebGL (FF7)
- Fast JavaScript, including Type Inference
- Allow drag touch events (i.e., we don't pan to the sidebars)
- Fullscreen mode?
Game On II: Mobile
Launch: Early Q4/Early Q1 2012
Summary: Host a mobile game developer contest and award the top web app games.
- Goal 1: Relay HTML5 capabilities to developers and average-mainstream users.
- Goal 2: 25 submissions, 10 of which are quality examples
- Goal 3: Host them in Mozilla Wep App Store
