Categories and templates
Thank you very much for your effort and enthusiasm in organizing MozillaWiki pages. We greatly appreciate your desire to be involved. However, as changing categories and templates in large quantities can be disruptive, we would like to hold off on doing so until we've had a chance to plan out the guidelines and best practices for MozillaWiki. If you are interested in helping us with this effort, you can find out information on how to get involved on the MozillaWiki:Team page; we are reachable on IRC or the newsgroup or, of course, on various talk pages here on MozillaWiki. We hope to be able to get started on a first draft by the end of the year. Thank you again for your interest, and thank you for being a Mozillian! —Gordon P. Hemsley→✉ 04:30, 14 November 2014 (PST)
- Oh, sorry about that :)
- Didn't mean to break anything, so I'll keep off the templates for a while.
- But I guess it's ok if I add more icon files and such things?

- The thing with categories (as you may have already noticed) is that it can be hard to change them on many pages all at once. If we later decide to go a different way, we would have to change or remove the existing categories.
- As for uploading things, that's much less disruptive. Just make sure that you're only uploading things that we actually need here on MozillaWiki. (Note that, although we are inspired in many ways by Wikipedia, we are not a Wikimedia wiki, and we don't necessarily need all the Wikimedia assets on here.)
- It is also important that you ensure that what you upload is compatible with our CC-BY-SA license.

- I only upload public domain material, and doesn't aim to turn this wiki into a MediaWiki Light. What I upload, in terms of icons and images, has to do with what is missing here, and/or what could be universally useful. I actually think before I upload stuff.
- The MozillaWiki is extremely important for, e.g. smaller Mozilla communities like the Swedish one. However, it isn't very well adapted for use in multiple languages or as a principal communication platform. We are too few to maintain a website of our own, which means that this wiki is a godsend in being able to relate information about Mozilla and the Swedish community. By prioritizing MozillaWiki, and making it compatible with e.g. useful Wikipedia/MediaWiki parsers, templates, etc., you would really help us in involving more Swedes in Mozilla. Not all assets are needed, but a lot are …

Thank you for hint about using spam template
Hello! Thank you for adding note to Report Spam about the "spam" template and it's use with Category:Spam page - I knew there was a better way to flag spam to the Anti-spam Team :) SpikeUK1 (talk) 23:42, 10 January 2015 (PST)
