Friends Family Day 2016
Mozilla Friends & Family Day
What is it?
At each of our locations around the world we’ll be hosting local gatherings.
The idea is that we’ll throw open the doors -- or arrange to meet at a park or zoo -- put on some music, order up some food and have some fun activities for kids of all ages. No speeches, no talks or anything formal like that, just time and space for us all to come together and have some fun.
Where is it happening?
Auckland, New Zealand
Auckland's family day is scheduled for Saturday May 21, 2016 from 2PM-6PM at the Metrolanes Bowling Center.
Beijing, China
Beijing is planning for an August celebration, details to come.
Berlin, Germany
German Friends & Families will gather Saturday May 21st, 13:00-18:00 at Waldhochseilgarten Jungfernheide.
London, England
London celebrations will occur will gather Saturday May 21st 09:15 at the London Zoo and conclude festivities London MozSpace.
Mountain View, California USA
Bay Area Mozillians will come together Saturday May 21st, 2pm-7pm at Mountain View MozSpace for outdoor food, fun and festivities.
Paris, France
French Mozillians will join for fun on Saturday May 21st, 10:00-16:00 at Sherwood Parc
Portland, Oregon USA
Portland office celebrations will occur Saturday May 21st, 1pm-4pm at the Grand Central Restaurant & Bowling Lounge
Taipei, Taiwan
Taipei will celebrate (after the rainy season) on Saturday July 2nd, 1PM-5PM at Songshan Cultural Park
Toronto, ON CAN
Toronto festivities will happen Sunday May 29th, 1PM-4PM at The Ballroom: Sports & Bowl & Rock n' Roll.
Vancouver, BC, CAN
Vancouver fun for friends and families will happen Saturday May 28th, 1pm-4pm at Science World.
Remotie Friends & Family
We gathered our mailing list from those with Workday locations defined as "Remote". If your Workday work location needs updating please contact hrops@mozilla.com .
There are 3 ways to participate...
- Join a MozSpace celebration: If your proximity to one of our MozSpaces means you can join us that would be awesome. We'll include you in the festivities but any costs for traveling/lodging belong to you.
- Organize a Regional Meet up: If you live close to other Remoties this is a great way to connect, celebrate and get to know each other better. Find other Remoties on IRC #awayteam, Remoties on Yammer or check out https://wiki.mozilla.org/IRC#Specific_Locations. Travel/lodging costs belong to you. You can expense up to $100 USD per adult attendee. Please organize events by June 30. Expensify deadline July 29, 2016.
- Remotie individual celebration: Remoties that are not near others but would like to participate in Friends and Family day can do so with a little help from Mozilla. This could be a night at the movies or an outing to a fun venue for those closest to proudly wearing Mozilla swag. You can expense up to $100 USD per adult attendee. Please partake by June 30, 2016. Expensify deadline July 29, 2016.
