4. Scratch your own itch

Note: Having someone 'scratch their own itch' is a great goal, but it's often unrealistic for someone new to know what they want to do right off the bat. Getting them a few steps into your project so that they become more familiar with things can help them figure out what their itch is.

Brainstorming for entry points

• Set up a mirror -- may only apply to institutions that have spare servers and bandwidth

• Desktop support for Mozilla Spaces (maybe also at college computer labs, libraries, etc?)

• Combine entry points with Release Engineering if there's reasonable overlap?

• Help with Air Mozilla

• Look at what other open source projects are doing, eg Apache's Infrastructure team

Metrics

What data is available to measure if we're meeting the goals?

• Number of mirrors?

• Patches to Air Mozilla?
