Goals
All previous webtools work weeks have involved sprinting on Socorro to keep up with Engineering emergent requirements, fixing stability problems, or deploying major changes, like the data center migration we did in 2011.
The goals of this work week are different. They are:
- Strategic future planning around the next 12-18 months
- What is the strategy and vision for Webtools?
- What do we need to do to support B2G and Marketplace?
- What will the Webtools org chart and accomplishments look like at the end of 2013?
- Training on new technologies
- We are engaged in rewriting the Socorro webapp using Django, and this week will help team members get up to speed or level up in Django skills.
- Team building!
