ThebesX is an attempt to bring the old and currently broken GTK-GFX backend back to use. There are some systems which have very slow Cairo implementation. And new (old) GTK-GFX is a solution for them. As the first step the old GTK-GFX backend has to be migrated to the new unit system. The next step is to migrate this changed GTK-GFX backen to Thebes by splitting it to XLIB and XFT Thebes backends.
