Ammeter Requirements

Following are the requirements for the ammeter board that will be included in the second revision of the battery harness.

Note that this is a work in progress - this will be updated when the requirements are finalized...

Requirements:

• handle DC current of up to 2 amps from a single cell lithium battery
• precision <= 1 mA
• be able to measure voltage as well as instantaneous current draw
• high sample rate (1 kHz)
• ability to programatically disconnect and reconnect the battery
• push capability, where we can ask to start receiving data at a given rate over the usb link
