What I am working on, or soon-to-be working on:

  • Bug 16913 (news filter overhaul)
  • Bug 382876 (addressbook conversion to use SQLite)
  • Bug 11054 (kill subthreads)
  • Bug 11050 (other mork conversion)
  • Bug 400331 (nsNNTPProtocol cleanup)
  • Fake server implementation (no bug yet)

Thoughts on things to do

Because bugzilla voting isn't enough.

  • News bugs/features/requests:
    • Filter on # of crossposted groups
    • Regex filtering
    • Spam filtering for news
    • Biff notification for news
    • Implement some of RFC 3977 and RFC 977
  • Web<->Mailnews integration:
    • Mailing list archives
    • Generic webmail
    • Web forums like news ?
    • (Probably requires some account manager overhaul)
  • Automagic:
    • Recreate threading
