Desktop FxA

• Recommend using a test profile as this may corrupt your sync data, NOT recoverable.

Servers URLs

Current Dev URLs: identity.fxaccounts.auth.uri=https://api-accounts.dev.lcip.org/v1 firefox.accounts.remoteUrl=https://accounts.dev.lcip.org/?service=sync

Production URLs: Content server: accounts.firefox.com Auth server: api.accounts.firefox.com Scrypt server: scrypt.accounts.firefox.com Verifier: verifier.accounts.firefox.com (this one may be a little mushy) https://github.com/mozilla/fxa-auth-server/issues/295

Desktop Firefox Accounts Setup

Steps:

1. Get nightly desktop or android Firefox > 1/16/2014
   1. http://nightly.mozilla.org/
2. Launch Fx with new profile (run cmd for mac): /Applications/FirefoxNightly.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox -p
3. Not sure how to run a different profile on Android — maybe use guest mode? or fennecPT?
4. enable FxA: in about:config context menu click and choose add pref:

identity.fxaccounts.enabled (as boolean)

1. confirm you have these set:
   1. firefox.accounts.remoteUrl
   2. identity.fxaccounts.auth.uri
2. set it’s value as true
3. restart Nightly
4. go into preferences > sync tab
