Android 2.3 emulator

  • Reftests too slow: bug 967913
  • Many robocop tests disabled: bug 975155, bug 975187, ... - most assigned to snorp now
  • mochitest-gl very broken: bug 975487
  • Now seeing random crashes during mochitests and crashtests...and no crash reports!

Autophone

• Patch in review for bug 969518 - Autophone - attempt to use ethernet over usb.
  • Uses ppp over adb for s1s2 tests but wifi for SUTAgent connectivity.
  • Still need to investigate using iproute2's tc for traffic shaping.
  • Unknown as to possible improvement over current wifi networking.
  • Unknown as to scaling
  • Will require conversion of Autophone host to Linux
  • Requires phone's shell to be run as root. I will need to 're-root' the phones to get the shell to run as root.
  • Would like to schedule a down time period of a day or two to perform the conversion and to perform tests comparing Wifi networking to usb networking using the full set of phones. Perhaps over the weekend.
  • If this approach works, should we keep historical results or delete them and back fill on a limited basis?
