Android Happenings

  • Sourced and researched blocklists for FFB
  • First run panel / custom on-boarding discussion; identified that we need a good story arc (to be potentially shared with Desktop) for onboarding
  • Working with legal on way/ideas to track TP on Fennec
  • Documenting how we use lists to show content, e.g. Top Alex websites sourcing: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1232746
  • Discussed Android workweek for February in SF


iOS Happenings

  • v1.3 was rejected by Apple (due to metadata that mentions the name of any other mobile platform in screenshots and charitable donations pop-up in one of the top sites). v1.3 was re-submitted on Friday, 12/18 but the app didn't get approved before App store Xmas break
  • Re-working the plan for v1.4 (China release) and impact to v2.0. Continue discussions with Mozilla China to complete app store screenshots and prepare for testing local code changes.
  • TestFlight cleaning and planning for recruiting more testers
