Schedule & Progress on Upcoming Releases

Firefox 3.5.11 / Firefox 3.6.7

  • Plan to release 3.6.7 build #2 to the beta audience late today or early tomorrow (depending on QA signoff)

Highlights / Notices

Notes or issues that don't correspond to a particular release you'd like people to know about.

  • A lot of crashes on Firefox 4 Beta 1 are caused by the Internet Download Manager (about 25 - 30 % so far) a bug has been filed to blocklist this Extension for Firefox 4 Beta bug 578443 (Tomcat)
  • Support common issues for the beta are in the weekly SUMO report so you can get them fresher off the presses Monday night.
    • Multiple dock icons on OSX because of OOPP bug 557225
    • If you have the Windows taskbar set to autohide and you maximize Firefox, you can't get your taskbar to show by mousing against the bottom of the window. bug 575245
    • The Close, Minimize, Maximize buttons are overlaid and don't show up on Windows Aero. bug 574833

Questions and Concerns

Please add any questions or concerns you would like discussed at today's meeting.

  • Note: If we decide to ship 64-bit windows builds, it will take 3-4 weeks for releng to be ready to (still need to: finalize build ref platform, order & image machines, release automation support)
    • What can we do to help this decision get made?
