PRD Status Update

Open Action Items

  • mconnor and sayrer to break up tabbrowser optimization patch and co-ordinate landings
    • deferred to post-M9
  • beltzner to hook up with dietrich about getting out in front of changes to session restore for perf optimization
    • roll on over!

Schedule

  • code freeze when at 0 blockers
  • M9 Blockers (subset of unassigned M9 blockers)
    • beta 1 criteria: safe for daily browsing, no glaring bugs/omissions in shipped features

  • Web-based protocol handling (PH team)
    • One beta blocker (bug 394483), should land patch within the hour

    • Mardak (Edward Lee) has submitted a bunch of patches that will be landed to enable testing of download pause/resume across sessions

    • SafeBrowsing protocol update

      • the current stonewall state has been helpful in generating feedback
      • considered to be a M9 blocker as it's currently expressed

    • took a patch on trunk to cover recent regression on Vista

    • Makeover page updated and tracking progress
      • had a good meeting with Tango community
      • have started work with IconFactory for Windows icons

  • Status of FF3 feature verifications to date. (See Feature Tracking tab on Spreadsheet)
  • Test strategy for M9 release: run smoketests, FFT, Extension Regressions, Plugin Regressions, Top 50 Sites Regression, and Focused Testing.
  • Still working with QA automation team on getting debug bits running locally so we can dogfood trunk nightlies for leaks.
  • This week's testday topic is TBD. If you're the dev on the feature, please come to #testday on friday to help with questions.
