L10n:Home Page
From MozillaWiki
This is the start of the wiki pages for the Mozilla Localization Project. What you will find here is a starting point to get involved in L10n (abbreviation for the word Localization). There is an L10n driver's team who worry about how to increase the number of locales we ship across our products and to make it easier for people to get involved in doing this. We have weekly status meetings and post our meeting agendas and notes. If you'd like to get involved check out any number of the pages below and/or subscribe to our forums.
Background information can be found in the localization overview.
Existing localization teams are listed here.
If you want to start a new L10n project, look at how to create a new localization and our locale names document. An overview of what to expect when taking on a new localization project aka the end to end process overview, please check out localization process.
NEW information on upcoming Firefox 3 release can be found on various wiki pages. Here is the current proposed Schedule, here is the proposed trademark/branding changes. Note, these are all in DRAFT mode.
Some members of L10n drivers team have L10n-related stuff on their personal pages; Michal Berman (Web Services), Seth Bindernagel (Tools, Evangelism, Community Development), Pascal Chevrel (Google Snippets, in-product pages), Wil Clouser (WebDev and AMO), Axel Hecht (Technical Review), Chris Hofmann (various), Tim Riley (QA).
