Meeting Notes

  • Notetaker:
  • Attendees: Jeff, Chris, Axel, flod, Peiying, Jeff, Matjaz, Delphine, stas, gandalf
  • Put your talking points here.
  • Africa: how are we going to handle repos and versions? (and as in "how much sense does it make to open up a repo for Swahili in 1.3 when they've got everything completed in 2.0 and onwards. Now we're just going to ask them to go back on 1.3 and open up a repo there? That's just one in many things I'm wondering about)
  • Finalize schedule
    • Please add your name to the participants list for the topics you want to be a part of.
  • Ukraine -- status update

  • hr: contact the dictionnary maintainer to propose him to participate in mozilla.org l10n
  • Prepare my trip to Portland
  • Launch Thunderbird start page l10n process if Kohei had ported the page, to get that ready for Thunderbird 10th birthday.
  • Probably take a couple of days off end of week.

done last week:

  • Finished Google Play API with releng for the Release channel. Future work in Q1 will be around other channels (Aurora, beta) but we don't know engagement plans yet and don't have English copy either. So for now, the Google Play localization and publishing process via the API is only automated for the release channel.
  • Onboarded new Bulgarian localizer Miroslav Yovchev on mozilla.org. He already fixed obvious language issues on existing pages (vocabulary consistency, formal vs informal speech...) and translated a few more pages like the home page and the mission/manifesto ones. We will also work soon on creating the stub of a Bulgarian styleguide for new contributors.
  • Worked with the new Thunderbird council on starting to get their web parts on Bedrock. Théo and I volunteer to manage their web l10n process, Kohei has volunteered for some webdev to port their in-product pages to Bedrock. Basically bringing back Thunderbird web l10n in our process.
  • Cleaned up my review queue
