TURN currently not supported in B2G: bug 1039655

High-level Project Status

  • Project work dashboards: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Media/webrtc#Visuals
    • need to get an update on what Fx version MVP is targeting and where we are for feature complete -- ensure QA will have time to test it
    • anything needed for B2G client/platform is tied to Gecko 32 and will need uplift to Beta -- needs to be API complete before merge on Monday

Firefox OS - TEF Update

  • There are concerns with memory footprint, can we get some initial testing done to confirm?
  • B2G Loop client testing (TEF)
    • blocked by a bug where Loop client only works if its on the same wifi SSID. doesnt work if you try to go out of range
    • Other bugs filed

1039188 --- PeerConnection is not successfully established if devices are in different networks 1039231 --- Cannot access share configuration screen after lock and unlock 1039441 --- The Loop Client is not usable if you don't share the app permissions 1039444 --- Unable to make calls without prefix

Scalability

  • James is attending to family matters - online but not attending meetings
  • New releases are happening 3x/week right now to fix bugs, address API changes, stabilize builds and deployments
  • Loop-Server testing against a live third-party server is still TBD
  • After API is frozen, we plan to push trains every 2 weeks.
