Action Items / Takeaways from Last Week

  • Takeways:
    • we are considering dropping Marketplace automation as a goal. We are not going to stop writing automation but we don't want to get dinged for not completing this. We're stretched too thing --Stephen to discuss this with Krupa
      • Krupa to schedule w/ stephend, zac + devs; will discuss strategy w/stephend first. Will be dropping Mktplace automation as a goal for this quarter. We won't drop the work, but due to wifi issues and potential marionette issues it isn't a realistic goal for this quarter.
  • Action Items:
    • Meeting with zac, krupa, some of the devs for Firefox OS automation - Stephen
    • stephend to look into whether/how we can get individual team posts fed into https://blog.mozilla.org/webqa/
      • pinged #it, looked at plugins that are already installed but not active; #willKeepDigging
    • rbillings to write blurb on sasha - sasha hasn't responded yet
      • Sasha said he'd like to do the post, but has yet to send me responses. Thanks to zac for the improved email address! ~rbillings
    • team, give stephend feedback if you feel the new goals format needs improvement

  • [davehunt] Has anyone had to abort a job running on an unagi node recently?
    • No one has. Davehunt to take a quick look at Unagi6
  • Stephend: has an unagi earmarked for Softvision, has a second one, will figure out how best to send them.
  • Which automation project is the most up to date- that could be used as a template for new projects? [rbillings]
    • marketplace is most up to date, but is complex; discussion about mozwebqa templates, need for more information for new contributors in our style guide

    • Stephend: take a look at xfails in input prod; will add github issue. Did AlinT volunteer to take this?
    • need retornam or similar to look at QA selenium 6 for download issue
    • Everyone: add easy automation tasks in github, marked as "Beginner" or Intermediate/Advanced for upcoming Selenium workshop in Cluj. Need lots of easier level tasks.
