- [Cornel] The crashes encountered on 33 Beta 2 are still being investigated.
Loop released but the button is in the customize menu.
Aurora (Fx 34)(Desktop - Liz Mobile - Aaron/Kevin)
Desktop Crash rate improved over last week. Good! Loop will have its button in the toolbar in 34 (so will be more obvious) App sharing is scheduled to go out in Fx34. (bug 1053215) Screensharing and window sharing are scheduled to go out in Fx33.
Nightly (Fx35) (Desktop - Robert Mobile - Anthony)
ESR (Fx 31.2)
- No more ESR Fx24.x
Security
- [Kamil]
- the DLL hijacking during update fix has been uplifted into m-c from oak builds. Changes the update process - bug # 945192
- creates a new dir in the update directory
- copies updater.exe into the new directory
- locks the new directory so it can't be deleted and the properties can't be changed
- set ACL to deny all writes for the EVERYONE group
- verify that the only file inside the folder is updater.exe
- UPDATE FX
- revert the ACL changes to the old ones and unlock the path
- delete the new directory/clean up
- the DLL hijacking during update fix has been uplifted into m-c from oak builds. Changes the update process - bug # 945192
- [mwobensmith]
- 1024 bit root cert removal - first round shipped in Fx32
- CSP error reporting broke in Fx32, fixed in Fx33 - bug 1033423
- CSP native parser in Fx33
- Tracking protection - Fx33/Fx34
Automation (whimboo)
- Mozmill
- We should redefine our goals and replace tasks for e10s support work - discussion to be done
- Last remaining issues with mozversion (bug 1061809) are getting fixed, which block a mozmill 2.0.7 release; it will also allow us to run the default Firefox installation on Ubuntu - an issue lots of people claimed via oneanddone
- All Mac mini got the EDID (virtual monitor) plugs installed
- We faced a huge network glitch yesterday while beta tests were running - no glue what has been caused this
- TPS
- We are now sending email status reports - still needs a bit of tweaking before we can go live and fully replace the old CI system
- Tools
- mozdownload 1.12 has been released: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/mozdownload/1.12 ( https://github.com/mozilla/mozdownload/issues/227 )
Stability
- Release issues: bug 1063048 and bug 1062452 (together >8% of our crashes) seem to both be a regression from a blocklisting change around version mismatches between Windows registry and actually loaded drivers.
- Desktop beta has graphics issues, tracy to see if we can get traction (marking affected, nominating for tracking, etc.)
- Mobile Beta has 1028802 which should have been fixed in 33 but isn't and bug 1041744 which is getting some traction now.
- GFX Layers bug 1064107 gives issues in both Aurora and Nightly.
