Discussion Items
- [Florin] We intend to NOT hold the Aurora Testday that would normally be scheduled for Friday (Nov 14th), so we can focus on Firefox 34 work. There are no new features in it other than the DevEdition specific features.
- [ctalbert] laptop for Moz Canada
Project Updates
- Loop (Anthony)
- Question from kevin/liz: is Hello going to be in the toolbar for all users in 34 release? Or is it being exposed in the UI to only some percentage of users?
- E10S (Juan/Liz)
- [Florin] https://wiki.mozilla.org/Platform/2014-11-11 - "e10s will not ride the trains to Aurora 36". Does this mean that it will remain in Firefox 37? If this is true, is Regression testing on e10s scheduled for next week still needed? Yes, it will remain on by default in Firefox 37.
- Draft e10s test plan at https://wiki.mozilla.org/QA/Electrolysis
- 33.1 (Tracy)
- very likely a Fx 33.1.1 to come
- bug 1021265 - DisplayLink (dlumd32.dll) => incorrect patch landed in 33.1
- bug 1096492 - crash in nsTArray_Impl<mozilla::dom::workers::WorkerFeature*, ... >, often at 0x5a5a5caa address => no patch yet
- Probably triggered by Google Maps changes late last week, do we have a contact there to find out what they did or if they did change something with XHR on workers there at all?
- Firefox for Android 34.0b8 build-#3 will be required to patch in complete MediaCodec disabling as build-#2 missed a set of preferences
- Developer Edition (KaiRo)
- Launch went well all in all, thanks for all the testing, including everyone who spent time on the weekend
- Some bugs are being worked on, to ship with regular daily updates
- New startup crashes: bug 1078674 and bug 1097138, probably triggered by people trying DevEdition
- Metrics / Dashboards (KaiRo)

Q4 Goals

Community
- [IoanaChiorean] Arabic Mozilla - They were supposed to have a session about One and done at their last meeting - due to lack of time they quit on doing it
- [IoanaChiorean] I think we should try to engage back to them - see what they proposed initially to have and give support on implementing the presentation in the next meetings they will have and mailing list.
- [IoanaChiorean] I've discussed a bit more with Clint about the community call - I will make more promotion for the next call.
- [IoanaChiorean] Guides:https://guides.mozilla-community.org/c/testing
- From Emma: " When someone comes through the Get Involved Page, and say - selects Testing HTML5 Apps, they get an auto-responder. On that auto-responder is a link to Guides as a community who can help them with questions 'getting started' . Guides is *not* meant to replace pathways, it's meant to put 'humans' at the beginning where so many hit road blocks, get stuck or are just unsure. Our job is to direct them to the correct 'starting point' for the pathway they are interested in."

ESR (Fx 31.2)
- Fixed Crashed: JS::Handle<JSObject*>::operator JSObject* const&(): (Bug # 1055766)
- ESR was crashing in some instances when updating to 31.2
- Crashed fixed when doing pave over updates with 31.2 (Bug # 1070988)
- if the contents of omni.jar were extracted into the FX folder, doing a pave over update would make fx crash during start-up making it unusable. This affected all channels and was previously fixed but wasn't uplifted into ESR
Security
- Bug # 1092855 - If you see a file on OSX in your /tmp/ folder that starts with the following, please ping me:

- Firefox Automation report – week 37/38 2014: http://www.hskupin.info/2014/11/11/firefox-automation-report-week-37-38-2014/
- In the process of writing a documentation for duty tasks
- Mozmill
- CI
- mm-ci-master.qa.scl3.mozilla.com has been renamed to mm-ci-production.qa.scl3.mozilla.com (old DNS name will still be around for a while as CNAME)
- Problems with pulsetranslator have been nailed down to be SSL networking issues in PHX and SCL3 (bug 1083166)
- Ubuntu 14.04 nodes are ready and will be enabled soon on production when we can upgrade to Jenkins 1.580.1
- We finally removed support for ESR24 branch
- Marionette
- We got the first feature requests landed (shortcuts, anonymous nodes) - major remaining items are restart support and modal dialogs
- CI
- Tests
- Sprint 4 started this week, we're planning to write 5 tests, in last sprint we landed 6 new tests out of 7 proposed
- This sprint we'll investigate how we can help with the loop bugs Anthony mentioned - Cosmin and Mihaela will look into that
- 2.0.9 is in production so we managed to enable back 5 tests
Stability
- had to stop 34.0b8 for Android from being shipped due to bug 1091599, build2 excludes the new feature
- means that video playback will not work on Android L with 34, probably.
- There are some GFX crash concerns on DevEdition, and startup crashes, see above.
