Firefox 3.6.3 plugin1 build2(Lorentz) Smoketests

Run the Firefox 3.6.3 plugin1 build2 smoketest suite in Litmus for XP, Windows 7, Mac OS X, and Linux, as well as doing spot checks on other OS. As of 4/6 there's a new release candidate for Flash 10.1; we should test on that as well.

Results

Windows XP (juanb)

  • Status: PASS
    • Build ID: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3pre) Gecko/20100405 Firefox/3.6.3plugin1 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
    • Notes: Silverlight (3.0.50106.0), Flash (10.0.45.2), also tested using Flash (10.1.53.7) 10.1rc
  • Mozmill: Pass

Windows 7 (marcia)

  • Status: PASS
    • Build ID: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3pre) Gecko/20100405 Firefox/3.6.3plugin1
    • Notes:
    • Testing on Windows 32 and 64 bit.
    • While http://www.silverlight.net/showcase/ is loading, it is hard to open other tabs and I get a slow script dialog. There is a temporarily machine "paralysis" when this page loads. Maybe an issue because User Agent Detection is not working? Does not seem that bad using IE. Note when opening the same page on Win Vista trunk nightly I crash in OOPP.
    • Odd issues with pages never finishing loading.
    • Before I crashed on chatroulette.com, I got a dialog that indicated the Plugin Finder had stopped working. After I closed the dialog then I saw the crashed plugin UI.
    • When I end the mozilla runtime process while playing a Flash video, the Crashed Plugins UI shows "No report available." Happens with Flash and Silverlight. Expected?
    • Plugins
      • Shockwave Flash: 10.1.51.95
      • Silverlight Version: 3.0.50106.0
      • Quicktime Version 7.6.6
  • Multiple instances of flash - I get a crash in one tab. Here is the specific scenario
  • 1. Load chatroulette.com. Open the users online link in a separate tab.
  • 2. After refreshing numerous times, chatroulette crashes in the tab it is in.
  • 3. When I tab to the "Users" online tab, I have a crash there.
  • 4. There is a single crash report.

Questions: 1. If a plugin gets taken down in one tab, does that mean we it automatically crashes in all other tabs that have a running instance of the plugin? 2. If this occurs, will I still only get one crash report for that plugin?

Mac OS X 10.6 (marcia)

  • Status: PASS
    • Build ID: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3pre) Gecko/20100405 Firefox/3.6.3plugin1
    • Notes: Mac does not have OOPP enabled at the moment. It should work as a usual 3.6.x build however.
    • Question mark appeared in place of cursor while OGG video was playing. Not able to reproduce.
  • Mozmill: result (10.5)

Linux (abillings)

  • Status: PASS (juanb edit)
    • Build ID: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3pre) Gecko/20100405 Firefox/3.6.3plugin1
    • Notes:
  • Mozmill: PASS
