<dfn>[http://microformats.org/wiki/ Microformats]</dfn> are a type of semantic HTML conventions that takes express [[hCard|people]], [[hCalendar|events]], [[hReview|reviews]], [[hRecipe|recipes]], [[hAtom|datestamped content]], and other structured data from being machine readable to being machine understandablein web pages in a way that makes them easily usable by search engines, allowing web crawlers, and browsers. Web browsers in particular are able to associate the data with particular actions.
