Back to School Campaign

We've got plenty of exciting news planned for new year! We wanted to make it easier for everyone to get involved in spreading Firefox on campus, so we created these fun activity kits for you! There is plenty there already to help you get started with projects to raise awareness of Firefox and educate others about Mozilla and our mission. And we'll be adding more content over the next few months, so stay tuned!

Theme

2014 back to school theme is 'Back to School, In to Mobile!'

Activities

As students return to classes, we're thinking up new ways FSAs can share Mozilla at their school. Here are some fun things FSAs can do:

ONLINE

  • Blog about Firefox OS on college/ club website
  • Introduce Firefox OS at your campus
  • Invite friends to try Firefox OS Simulator
  • For all the information you could possibly need on development of Firefox OS or building open web apps that can be installed on Firefox OS, head over here.
  • Invite friends to like "Firefox Students Ambassador" page on Facebook, G+, Twitter and help spread the word.

OFFLINE

  • Give a demo of Firefox OS to your friends
  • Host a Firefox Flicks screening party to show winning videos from the 2013 contest
  • Ask permission and install Firefox in your friends/ classmates Android mobile phones
  • Have a Mozilla booth set-up during one of your college events/ festival and help people with Android phones install Firefox browser, if they already have one, make them rate the app and give feedback. Also show some cool addons that one can install.

Back to School Swag

Swag! We know you have been waiting for Mozilla Firefox swag, here is your chance to request the swag for your back to school event. The request from will be added shortly here.

PLEASE NOTE

  • Only fill out the request form if you plan to conduct a Firefox related activity or participate in an event where you will be promoting Firefox and educating people about open source and the Mozilla mission...
  • Also, please DO NOT request a swag pack if you have already received support from Mozilla within the past 3 months. Give others a chance to throw events with Firefox goods.
  • We have limited quantities, so we cannot guarantee you swag, but will try to get as many of you some great Firefox promotional items as we can. It usually takes up to 2 weeks to ship these to you, so please plan your events accordingly so you receive the swag on time.
  • Also, please be patient, as we will not be able to respond to you individually. We will be sure to provide the distributor your email address so you can receive a tracking number once your swag pack is shipped.

Documenting

If you request a swag pack, please document your activities with photos and student feedback. We love giving you all swag, but if we can't provide proof that you are making good use of it, we won't be able to continue doing this kind of stuff.
