Shipping Celebration

What did we ship this month? Alternatively, what didn't we ship to spare the world the horror?

  • (Osmose) Pontoon shipped a ton of stuff:
    • Replacement sync process that cut sync times for lang files from ~20 minutes down to ~4 minutes. PO and XLIFF support landed too, with the rest of Pontoon's supported formats on the way.
    • New listing pages for locale teams.
    • Optimizations to make loading the translation view over 50% faster.
    • A bunch of other small changes, such as adding new locales, tweaking plural info, improving fonts and icons, etc.
  • (peterbe) Making Crash-stats 25% faster to load just by correcting the Nginx headers on static files
  • (ErikRose) DXR 2.0 shipped!!
    • Language-independent infra
    • Support for C++, Rust, and basic Python and XPIDL
    • Line-based search
    • Parallel, clustered indexing
    • HTTP API (Osmose's atom plugin)
    • Permalinks
    • Generic identifier and reference searching
    • Binary file and image browsing
    • All-new plugin architecture (dev docs)
