There is no official project name as of yet, however the [[SeaMonkey:Project_Organization#SeaMonkey_Drivers|Council]] (project drivers) has decided on a project name.  The Mozilla Foundation is currently submitting the name as a US trademark on the project's behalf.  Once the name has been cleared, it will be announced publicly.

Most of the documentation refers to the project as SeaMonkey.  SeaMonkey has been the project's codename since the time of Netscape, and will probably continue to be the codename.  If the offical name is not SeaMonkey, the visual documentation will be changed to reflect the new name.

There is no official project name as of yet, however the Council (project management team) has decided on a project name.

SeaMonkey will start as version 1.0, after alpha and beta releases.
