Agenda:
new team members! welcomes and intros
Purpose of this meeting
This meeting, which will happen every other week, is to review the work of the last two weeks and discuss plans for the next two, as well as share demos. This meeting is a place for Product, Engineering, UX, and AMMO to come together and discuss shared goals and obstacles for the whole Add-ons project. Going forward, each of the teams will address their last iteration, share victories or demos, and then each team will share their plans for the next iteration, and we will also check in about Theme level work and make sure we're all aligned.
New iterations structure
We're now doing two week "iterations" (that's like a sprint, except conducted at a reasonable sustainable pace) of defined work, three iterations per Firefox release.
Signing schedule review
- 40-42 warn only
- 43 blocked, but disable-able
- 44 blocked, no pref (but “developer mode”)
Questions and AOB
- stuff we need to do in this new window of time
- engage with developers
- developer mode
- can it be done without breaking signing?
- what will it look like (use cases/roadmap?)
- are the resources/schedule feasible
- reporting - signed and unsigned addons number
- submissions API
- UX qualitative data gathering
- do any of us have questions which might need user research
- does this mean users as in “users of firefox” or devs too? - both now.
- Matt Grimes’ team should also have some data.
Actions:
- Andy, Kev, Lisa: requirements for dev mode in 44
- Contact Markus if you have user research requests
- Larissa ping Matt Grimes’ team about user sentiment and copy Markus
