Summary

The goal of this feature is to block third-party cookies from websites that were not visited directly by the user. This does not block third-party cookies from the website that was not visited earlier after he visits it.

Use Cases

  • Users will not have the cookie menu filled with unwanted third-party cookies making advertising sites more hard to land a cookie in their browser.
  • Users will be able to deactivate this feature if so desires by going to:
    • Options > Privacy > Firefox will: Use custom settings for history > Accept third-party cookies: Allways - From visited - Never.

(From visited option is the one that the feature refers to)
