Conclusions
- It's all about the first 3 search results. When users look at Google search results, they focus on the first 3 search results. Consider inquisitor-style interface, but with page title blue and URL green for information differentiation and consistency with Google.
- Search results under search box doesn't have enough display space. Possible solutions:
- Ability to manually resize search box
- Dynamically resizing of the search box (if the string is too long for the box, the box automatically expands to the left)
- Shrink/hide address bar when using search bar
- Showing too much in the search results output can be intimidating to the user
- Having richer search results would make searches slower, especially with "search as you type"
- Search result features such as bookmarks, preview search results, rich results, etc. should be configurable or an extension
