[18:32] <mschroeder> Okay, the let's start the QA chat. Our agenda: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Calendar:QA_Chat:2008-08-21
[18:33] <mschroeder> First topic is 'Status 0.9'.
[18:35] <mschroeder> Anyone?
[18:35] <Andreas> 12 open blocker bugs
[18:36] <mschroeder> and the plan is to release a RC end of next week?
[18:36] <Andreas> And if bug 437412 fixed, than all of Berend bugs are fixed.
[18:37] <firebot> Andreas: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=437412 nor, --, ---, Berend.Cornelius@sun.com, ASSI, zero-length and short events are shown at the wrong times in the timegrid
[18:37] <Andreas> Yes, that is correct.
[18:37] <mschroeder> Berend has a battle with the calendar views going on. :(
[18:37] <thetux> sounds bad
[18:38] <Andreas> Thats right, but his yesterdays patch was nearly perfect
[18:39] <thetux> bugzilla ist not responding for me, what are Berends bugs?
[18:40] <mschroeder> thetux: Do you wanna know bug#s?
[18:40] <Andreas> Zero lenght events/tasks leads to collindig boxes
[18:42] <thetux> just wondering if they had anything to do with the bugfix from daniel
[18:42] <mschroeder> Andreas: We still have no Lightning multi-l10n builds. How did we check them last time?
[18:43] <Andreas> Hm, its so long ago.....
[18:45] <mschroeder> thetux: Can you remember?
[18:46] <thetux> you mean validating if they are working?
[18:46] <mschroeder> yep
[18:47] <Andreas> We should use the l10n litmus test
[18:48] <Andreas> I used this test cases to check the sunbird l10n builds
[18:48] <thetux> I had some VMs and checked if the errorconsole keeped empty when working with them. There was no need to understand the language most of the time, you could just watch the english version for the menu
[18:48] <mschroeder> yes, but did we install the langpacks or did we have a multi-l10n Lightning build.
[18:49] <Andreas> I think we used a multi build
[18:49] <thetux> think so, too
[18:49] <mschroeder> and how do you select the language?
[18:50] <Andreas> the release version is a multi-lang-xpi, so we should check what we will deliver.
[18:50] <thetux> wasn't there some kind of comandline switch?
[18:51] <thetux> I can't really remember
[18:51] <Andreas> you could start lighning/thunderbird with a language option
[18:51] <thetux> and sunbird, or?
[18:52] <Andreas> I used only new profiles per sunbird language.
[18:52] <mschroeder> Andreas: I think, we'll get a multi-l10n version with RC1, right?
[18:53] <mschroeder> Andreas: Do you know who will the release engineer for 0.9?
[18:53] <Andreas> Yes, I think that Ause will build a multi-lang RC!
[18:53] <Andreas> Ause
[18:54] <mschroeder> okay, then Lightning l10n testing has to wait
[18:55] <Andreas> That s true :-(
[18:55] <mschroeder> hopefully we'll have some builds for the outstanding locales soon, and fixed locales where some issues are known
[18:56] <mschroeder> Next critical thing is update testing, because we have the new timezone extension.
[18:57] <mschroeder> and we have some database scheme iterations
[18:58] <Andreas> What is the status of the timezone issue bug 437441
[18:58] <firebot> Andreas: Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=437441 nor, --, 0.9, mschroeder@mozilla.x-home.org, NEW, Finalize calendar-timezones.xpi
[18:58] <mschroeder> hehe... assigned to the one without a clue ;)
[18:59] <mschroeder> there is a backed out build system patch
[19:01] <mschroeder> we additionally need multi-l10n build to the the timezone extension localization for Lightning
[19:01] <mschroeder> and we need some testrun with updating the timezone database over AMO
[19:02] <mschroeder> that's the summary
[19:02] <Andreas> Many open topics.
[19:03] <mschroeder> I don't really drive that bug. It needs input from ause.
[19:03] <Andreas> Okay
[19:04] <mschroeder> So, what should we test next Thursday?
[19:04] <mschroeder> I proposed CalDAV.
[19:04] <Andreas> Who filled the caldav matrix with so much servers?
[19:06] <bbbrowning> I don't know who added the servers, but I added the checks/x's about them
[19:07] <Andreas> Okay, good job. Thanks.
[19:08] * mschroeder added them
[19:08] <mschroeder> bbbrowning: Thanks for your contributions.
[19:08] <mschroeder> bbbrowning: Can you think of some refinement of the features a CalDAV server supports?
[19:09] <mschroeder> https://wiki.mozilla.org/Calendar:QA_CalDAV_Support
[19:10] <mschroeder> Andreas: So, you agree to check CalDAV including scheduling on the next testday?
[19:11] <Andreas> Yes, sounds good.
[19:11] <bbbrowning> mschroeder: no, I think it's about right. we can remove the unused column between basic and scheduling
[19:13] <Andreas> And the next testday, maybe in two weeks, could be a RC1-L10n-update testday?
[19:14] <mschroeder> okay
[19:17] <mschroeder> Andreas: I'll be busy the next weeks, so I hope you can help to coordinate the testdays.
[19:18] <Andreas> Thats possible, no problem.
[19:18] <mschroeder> great
[19:19] <mschroeder> a draft for the annoucement would be nice
[19:20] <Andreas> Okay, I will send a draft to you.
[19:23] <mschroeder> Andreas: thanks a lot
[19:24] <mschroeder> Anything left to discuss?
[19:25] <Andreas> No
[19:29] <Andreas> Is this the end of the qa-chat?
[19:30] <mschroeder> yep
[19:30] <mschroeder> bye Andreas
[19:31] <Andreas> Bye Martin, see you.
