What will your session or activity allow people to make, learn or do?

This will be partly a show and tell of the various online free resources there are out there for data journalists to use and the various ways for learning to use them.

Then there will be an open discussion of how to people want to learn if they have the time, both within the newsroom and without.

How do you see that working?

An intimate huddle for people interested in exploring data scraping, data querying and data analyzing.

How will you deal with 5, 15, 50 participants?

If the huddle gets to large I can share links on an ether pad for people to access on their own computer if they cannot see mine.

What do you see as outcomes after the festival?

An understanding of the what type of person is interested in using data to find stories and what are the ways that they wish to learn
