Australis

• Only one blocking bug (bug 933964) left before we merge Australis -> m-c
  • Going to try to stage the merge/backout process ahead of time to see what kinds of bumps we might run in to.
    • Merge m-c -> holly (hg.mozilla.org/projects/holly), merge ux -> holly, backout australis changes, merge m-c -> ux, merge ux -> holly
• Notable bugs fixed in the past week:
  • Bug 851652 - Change position of the standardWindowButtons for Australis
  • Bug 933674 - Overlapping portion (15px) of the selected tab consumes clicks intended for the adjacent background tab
  • Bug 934113 - Menu bar shouldn't be movable

• posted new patch for Tim's review: bug 809056 - reduce thumbnailing impact when there are no thumbnail service consumers

Background thumbnailing

• landed, bounced, now blocked: bug 902755 - Deadlock in mozilla::ipc::GeckoChildProcessHost::LaunchAndWaitForProcessHandle after turning on new tab page thumbnails
• landed: bug 929742 - FX_THUMBNAILS_BG_CAPTURE_DONE_REASON_2 not showing up in dashboard
• new: bug 934256 - High Memory and High CPU usage of Firefox.exe and plugin-container.exe / firefox and browser after opening about:newtab

SessionStore

• billm landed bug 919835 last week and that lead to a regression for some people (bug 933587) :(.
• The root cause is bug 673569 but we will nonetheless investigate why we didn't catch the failure and will write a regression test in bug 934920.

• smacleod posted two patches:
• bug 899213 - Introduce Session Restore API for global data
• bug 918024 - Remove synchronous start up fallback

• ttaubert landed two things in preparation for bug 930967:
• bug 931706 - Changing contentViewer.authorStyleDisabled should send a notification
• bug 930901 - Clean up and modularize SessionStore code a little more
