Iteration #6 Performance

  • Highlights
    • Team completed 74 story points across 20 features which resulted in a new average velocity rate of 51 story points per iteration.
    • Team increased its average velocity rate performance by 8% from the previous iteration.
    • Team's overall performance gain has resulted in a new expected production release forecast of November 19, 2013 - a reduction of 2 iterations from the previous status update.
    • Project has enough performance data to add Best Case and Worst Case scenarios to our release forecast.
    • Best Case Release Forecast:
      • If the team can achieve and maintain an average velocity of 71 points per iteration then development will be completed no later than October 02, 2013.
    • Worst Case Release Forecast:
      • If the team drops to an average velocity of 32 points per iteration then development will be completed no earlier than March 20, 2014.
    • Product Manager revised the priority levels of the feature stories in the Story Backlog. The revision resulted in:
      • 30 feature stories shifted to a P1 priority level.
      • 1 feature story shifted to a P2 priority level.
      • 10 feature stories shifted to a P3 priority level.
      • 12 feature stories shifted to a P4 priority level.
    • At the conclusion of Iteration #7 we will be releasing figures on the project's quality performance and defect levels.
