L10n Blog Guide

The official Mozilla L10n blog is meant to keep up-to-date with advancements within Mozilla L10n. This page is for sharing our target audiences, the blog's mission, the publication schedule, common topic formats/templates, and other related information to how we use the blog.

Vision and target audiences

Vision

Platform for more detailed info on l10n topics that are not part of wiki docs, but still relevant reference material (e.g., spotlight new communities, L10n event schedules, significant L10n announcements, document community experiences with specific tools, projects, etc.). We also hope to increase Mozilla l10n visibility in the l10n industry through this blog.

Publication schedule

Keeping our readership is top priority. Part of that is avoiding blog entry overload. This schedule indicates when blog entries concerning particular topics will be released. If you have a particular entry on a common topic (e.g., an schedule for upcoming L10n events), please look to this schedule for when you can anticipate seeing your entry live.

Events: An upcoming events schedule will be published on Mondays.

Instructional topics & announcements: Instructional topics & announcements will be published on Wednesdays.

Fluffy topics: L10n-drivers bios, community spotlights, contributor spotlights, etc. will be published on Fridays.
