Welcome
- Chris Mills is here!
Events
- Sprints
- July 26-27, virtual-only so far. Anybody want to organize a local meetup?
- Would like a focus on tagging NeedsLiveSamples, to use at OHM. Having the pages tagged this way will make it easier to encourage people to create samples.
- August 30-31, virtual-only so far. Maybe not Toronto after all; it's Labour Day there.
- July 26-27, virtual-only so far. Anybody want to organize a local meetup?
- Mozilla Summit, October 3-5. There will be MDN staff at all three locations, so if you are attending, please be sure to connect!
- Outside events
- OHM 2013, July 31 - August 4, the Netherlands. Collaboration with WebMaker on a Learn-Make-Hack-Doc workshop.
- Congreso Universitario Movil, several events at universities across Mexico in September, with a big conference in Mexico City, October 7-11.
- JSFoo India, 20-21 September, possibly other hack-days/doc-sprint in India.
- Tech4Africa, Johannesburg, October 9-10, continued WebMaker collaboration. Maybe also follow-on events in Cape Town.
Content
- Sheppy: Working more on building macros for automatically generating things like tables of contents and indexes, along with the MDN user/editor guides.
Process
- We will be starting to use Trello to prioritize and track documentation projects. Details coming soon, but suggestions and input welcome. Discuss.
Kuma
- We're having problems where revisions of an article get out of order, resulting in an older version being presented to the reader (and to editors). The dev team is investigating.
- Elastic Search based search should launch soon.
- "Teams" support should be ready to go soon.
- Work is underway on implementing support for presenting off-MDN content as if it were part of MDN (such as from ReadTheDocs.org).
- Ability to fix the source article for translated pages is in QA now.
