Mana (per Justin Dow on 2014-06-25)

Mana is on its own server (one single server for the application and its database lives on a separate database cluster)
the app uses currently 15GB on the local filesystem, which is mostly attachments and logs and such
the database master in use by that server is currently using 48GB of disk space total
found a backup file of that database, and it is 7.8GB

Mana (per Matt Pressman, DBA, on 2014-07-09)

Mana Intranet Namespaces: 206
Mana pages: 65841 (all versions), 13927 (current version)
Mana disk usage: 4.22GB
Usage Metrics

# of active users who created pages in last
  30 days: 760
  60 days: 1927
  90 days: 2881
# of pages with updated date older than
  30 days: 1696
  60 days: 4188
  90 days: 6129
Average # of pages created by users (3292 total users) in last:
  30 days: 0.23
  60 days: 0.59
  90 days: 0.88

Mana site activity information is disabled by default in the application and this prevents obtaining statistics at the user level for usage/creation/access/page hit views. This limitation means that through the database, I am unable to determine the following:

# of pages NOT accessed (not read) in the last 30/60/90 days

and
Average # of page hits/user in the last 30/60/90 days

Intranet (per Chris Turra, on 2014-06-25)

the intranet cluster is: 1 admin node, 3 prod web nodes, 1 dev web node, 1 stage web node and 2 memcache servers
the intranet cluster contains Phonebook, Inventory, PTO app, etc.
the web root directory on the intranet prod server is using 965M.
Chris doesn't know how many Namespaces there are on the Intranet.

People team’s move from Intranet to Mana (per Amie on 2014-06-26)

Started a couple of years ago
Put all the page links on etherpad, 60 - 70 links, 6-7 big buckets
2-3 mo. to get some traction, reorganized pages
Mardi spent another 1.5 mo to plan a roadmap
Did a Brownbag (no Townhall back then)
4 months to complete the migration with redirects on Intranet
>>> Redirects from Intranet to Mana remains.

MediaWiki vs. Confluence? Not a question of features

Confluence is moving, in my opinion, pointedly in the direction of a central social media-suite and sees itself more and more as an alternative to systems like Jive and SharePoint. MediaWiki is leading for the topic knowledge management and documentation, in particular for high-performance solutions. The lines of development are different.

Migration automation tools

From Confluence to MediaWiki (very primitive, no documentation, does not seem to handle bulk conversion):

From MediaWiki to Confluence (much more mature, has documentation, video demo)
