Tear Away Tab

This one is fairly simple. With more than one tab open in a window, click a Tab, then Drag and Drop it somewhere.

Expectations

Drop target:

  • Within the selected tab content
    • Opens a new window with this tab and removes the tab from original window
  • To the desktop
    • Opens a new window with this tab and removes the tab from original window
  • Within the Tab Bar
    • Relocates the tab on the tab bar to the dropped location
  • Within the Bookmarks Toolbar
    • Creates a bookmark of the page.
  • Within a text field
    • Pastes the URL of the page
  • On a blank are of chrome in current window
    • Does nothing
  • On a blank area of chrome in another window
    • Opens a new window with this tab and removes the tab from original window
  • Try other drop locations
    • Expectations may very - ping us in IRC if something doesn't seem intuitive.
